Welcome! By using Field & Fork PEI (the “app”) you agree to these terms. They're meant to be straightforward — please read them.
1. Who we are
Field & Fork PEI is operated by Lake Solutions Inc., based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. You can reach us at hello@fieldandforkpei.ca.
2. The service
The app helps people find local growers and farms in Prince Edward Island and helps growers publish their own listings. We do not sell food, take orders, or process payments. Every transaction happens directly between you and the grower.
3. No certification or inspection
Field & Fork is a directory. We do not certify, inspect, or vouch for any farm, product, or claim made on a listing. Always confirm details directly with the grower before visiting or buying.
4. Your account
You don't need an account to browse. Growers who claim a listing must sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for what's posted from your account.
5. Grower-published content
If you claim a farm and publish content (descriptions, photos, posts), you confirm:
- You have the right to publish that content.
- The information is accurate and not misleading.
- It doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
You retain ownership of what you post. By publishing it through the app, you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it inside the app and on our website. You can remove your content at any time by editing your listing or deleting your account.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, illegal, or infringing content.
- Impersonate another farm or person.
- Spam, harass, or harm other users.
- Probe, scrape, or interfere with the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Availability
We provide the service “as is.” We work hard to keep it running but can't guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or that every feature will always work. Listings reflect what growers post; we're not responsible for stale or incorrect grower-supplied information.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lake Solutions Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including any transaction with a grower, food quality, health outcomes, or the accuracy of listing information.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from the app's settings or via the deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada applicable in PEI. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of PEI.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
