Field & Fork PEI (the “app”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Lake Solutions Inc. on Prince Edward Island, Canada. We take your privacy seriously and try to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

1. Scope
This policy covers the Field & Fork PEI mobile app and our website. It applies to anyone who uses the app — visitors browsing growers and growers who claim a listing.
2. What we collect
We try to collect only what's necessary to make the app work:
- Account information (only if you sign in): your name and email address provided by Sign in with Apple. If you choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a relay address — we never see your real one.
- Farm listing content (growers only): the farm name, address, hours, photos, posts, and other details you choose to publish. This information is intended to be public.
- Approximate device location: only when you grant permission, and only used to sort growers by distance. We don't store or transmit your precise location.
- Favourites: the IDs of farms you've hearted, stored on your device.
- Diagnostic data: crash reports and basic performance metrics via Sentry. See section 7.
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Show growers near you and the things they grow.
- Let growers publish and update their own listings.
- Authenticate you when you sign in to claim or manage a farm.
- Diagnose crashes and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information, ever. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing by third parties.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers we use to run the app:
- Supabase — our database and authentication backend. Hosted in Canada / North America.
- Apple — for Sign in with Apple and the App Store.
- Sentry — for crash and error reporting. No personally identifying content is intentionally sent to Sentry.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We will never sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone else.
5. Location data
The app asks for your device location only to sort and filter growers by how close they are. Location is read on-device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings, and the app will continue to work — distances will simply no longer appear.
6. Sign in with Apple
The app uses Sign in with Apple as the only authentication method. When you sign in, Apple sends us a unique identifier and (optionally) your name and email. You may choose to share a relay email instead of your real email; we treat the relay address as your contact email. We do not have access to your Apple ID password.
7. Analytics & crash reports
We use Sentry to receive crash reports and performance metrics. These reports include the device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace. They do not include the contents of your account, your messages, or other personal data. You can disable diagnostic sharing at any time in your device's privacy settings.
8. How long we keep data
- Account data: kept while your account is active. Removed within 30 days of account deletion.
- Farm listings: kept until you delete the listing or your account.
- Crash reports: retained for up to 90 days by Sentry.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (Canada, the EU, the UK, or California), you have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@fieldandforkpei.ca.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: More → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion via the web at our account-deletion page or by emailing hello@fieldandforkpei.ca from the address linked to your account. Deletion removes your account record, your farm listings (if any), your posts, and any uploaded photos within 30 days.
11. Children
Field & Fork PEI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will be announced inside the app.
